Trophy Design
BNI North East, a distinguished business networking organization, sought a unique memento design for their annual award ceremony. The memento would be presented to Director Consultants in recognition of their outstanding performance throughout the year.
Challenge
Designing a memento that not only symbolized excellence but also encapsulated the core values of BNI North East, as reflected on the right.
Research and Analysis
Understanding the significance of the memento as a token of appreciation, our team delved into BNI North East’s core values. We aimed to create a design that not only celebrated excellence but also resonated with the company’s ethos.
Inspiration and Material Study
We did research on the Contemporary, sophisticated and sleek design of the memento alongside the best suitable materials.
Design Concept-1
Option A
Minimal | Inspired by BNI
In this variation, we have tried to replicate the slant of the bottom of ‘i’ via a metal sheet pasted on an mdf block which is engraved with the icons. The details are screen printed on metal.
Dimension: 3 by 8 inches
Option B
Minimal | Inspired by BNI
In this variation, we have tried to replicate form of I via use of PVC block and PVC sheet.
Dimension: 3 by 8 inches
Design Concept-2
Showcasing Values via Form
In this route, we have explored ways to showcase 7 brand values via form. We have explored interesting forms like: Penrose Heptagon & Octahedrons
Option A: Penrose Heptagon
The centre is hollow. All the 7 surfaces of the penrose heptagon have the 7 values engraved/screen printed on them along with the icon.
Dimensions: 5 by 5.5 inch
Material: Acrylic Sheet screen printed sandwiched between clear acrylic sheets (hollow in center) with acrylic sheet base.
Option B: Octahedron
Other than the centre triangle, all other 7 surfaces showcase BNI values, depicting how BNI values are the structure of the organisation.
Dimensions: 5 by 5.5 inch
Material: Acrylic Block structure and acrylic/pvc sheet base.
Result
- Symbolic Representation: The memento successfully encapsulated the core values of BNI North East, acting as a visual representation of the company’s commitment to excellence.
- Enhanced Prestige: The elegant design elevated the prestige of the award ceremony, creating a memorable and distinguished experience for the recipients.
